Monoi soap FAQ

What is monoi soap made of? A soap base blended with Monoi Tiare Tahiti, the traditional oil of tiare flowers steeped in coconut oil, plus fragrance. The Tiare bar is 30% Monoi Tiare Tahiti. Full ingredients are listed on each product page.

Can I use monoi soap on my face? Yes, the bars are made for face, hands and body. Rinse well, and patch-test first if you are trying a new fragrance.

Which monoi soap smells strongest? Pitate (jasmine) is the boldest. Tiare and Tiare Tamanu are lighter, and Santal is the choice if you prefer no florals.

How big is a bar, and how long does it last? Each bar weighs 130 g (4.55 oz). French-milled bars are dense, so they wear down slowly, especially if you let them dry on a draining dish between uses.

Where are the soaps made? Every bar is made in Papeete, Tahiti, by Parfumerie Tiki. Hawaiian Resources Co. of Honolulu, the official U.S. importer of Monoi Tiki Tahiti, ships every order from Hawaii.
